The Senior Director of Product Management will lead the management, design and evolution of the company’s product and platform solutions. The scope of product responsibilities includes UCaaS, telecom network, managed service and security, proprietary software solutions as well as providing collaborative leadership as the company further defines its evolution into the CPaaS marketplace. The role requires strong a business acumen, demonstrated ability to define and execute traditional, technology-oriented development strategies while leveraging exceptional cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Principal focus is on the development of the UCaaS, network, security and related advanced telecommunications solutions. Complementing these solutions, an emphasis is placed on the convergence of software and communications solutions
  • The position also has responsibility for customer facing software solutions such as proprietary Administrative interface, mobile and interactive collaboration/management solutions
  • Product ownership transcends internally developed solutions. As particular emphasis exists with respect to leveraging API and partner collaboration opportunities, it is anticipated that this role commands a leadership presence
  • Leadership of traditional product management discipline is expected. Lifecycle responsibilities such as opportunity assessment, business justification, competitive analysis, requirements definition/design, pricing, documentation, training and product launch are examples of inherent responsibilities
  • Extending beyond traditional product responsibilities, vision is critical as is collaboration with the executive team, Software Development, Engineering, Sales/Marketing and related peer organizations in order to define the appropriate mix of software enabled solutions to extent our product set
  • This role is accountable for the development and successful execution of the medium-long term product road map, including the ability to infuse new product strategies/opportunities
  • There is an expectation of representing the team as a product champion to both internal and external constituencies while advancing the company’s customer-focused culture
Qualifications:
  • A creative and disciplined product technologist who possesses the domain knowledge associated with core communications solutions that are delivered across a broad array of proprietary and integrated partner platforms. Domain experience to include, but not be limited to; UCaaS, CPaaS, SD-WAN, omni-channel call center environments etc.
  • Direct experience in development of partner ecosystems involving UCaaS/CPaaS platforms. Demonstrated success in monetizing API based business models, to further the product suite and related value-proposition to our customer base
  • Demonstrated ability to guide cross-functional teams in the identification, definition, design and execution of new product concepts and solutions
  •  While maintaining responsibility for overall product roadmap, must demonstrate the ability to capture, synthesize and articulate the product opportunities presented through customer and market analysis. Examples of critical thinking to include evolution and monetizing (or not) of feature functionality
  • Using a consistent, quantifiable methodology, ability to make product and resource allocation decisions based on an appropriate balance of market need, time and resource availability
  • Experience implementing product management discipline and best practices, while building and educating the larger product development team. While this is a senior leadership role, it requires ‘hands-on’ engagement with related direct responsibilities for relevant projects and deliverables
Requirements: 
  • Greater than 10 years of Product Management experience in technology/software related solutions, with preference given to market leading and new communication software platform delivery backgrounds
  • Proven, process-oriented experience executing traditional product development and lifecycle management responsibilities with track record of making critical product decisions
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, with emphasis on Agile development and the critical nature of effective collaboration between Product Management and complementary teams
  • Relevant academic accomplishments in both BS and advanced study relevant to the responsibilities defined for this role
